Overview

This position is responsible for performing a wide range of Treasury functions for Castleton Commodities; a multinational corporation. Castleton Commodities International is a leader in the physical and financial energy markets with offices in Connecticut, Texas, Canada, Switzerland, China, Singapore and Uruguay.

 

The Treasury Coordinator will report to the Senior Treasury Analyst and is an integral part of the Treasury team.  The primary responsibility of this position are cash forecasting,  authorizing proposals, reconciling, and resolving issues with payments and receipts for Castleton Commodities International entities and general treasury responsibilities.  Entry level candidates (those graduating in 2017 with applicable internship experience) to those with up to 2 years’ experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing the cash forecast for multiple corporate entities in multiple currencies. Coordinate the collection of information from relevant company functions to ensure the daily cash forecast is highly accurate. Reconcile previous day activity between actual and projected forecasts. Coordinate with all relevant company functions to ensure the daily cash forecast is highly accurate. This includes trade settlements, credit, future clearing and business development.
  • Perform confirmation of receivables with counterparties.
  • Verify and reconcile cash receipts and cash payments across multiple entities in banking platforms.
  • Propose/Authorize A/R and A/P invoices in SAP for payment/receipt.
  • Assist with management of purchase card program
  • Assist with management of Amex card program
  • Work closely with Corporate Accounting to ensure that Treasury-related activities are recorded in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree; in accounting or finance

 

Experience

1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred.  Would consider entry level candidates (graduating in Spring 2017) with applicable internship experience

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Licenses

  • Proficient in SAP – is preferable, not required
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • High ethical standards
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including verbal and written skills
  • Highly organized and ability to work independently
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple activities to completion
  • Knowledge of banking software or portals
  • General knowledge of accounting
