Overview

Castleton Commodities International, a leading Merchant Commodity Trading and Investment firm, is hiring an experienced hands-on Cloud and “on premises” infrastructure administrator / engineer with 5+ years’ experience in Public Cloud (AWS, Microsoft, etc.), a Cloud management orchestration tool (e.g., Rightscale) and on premises VMWare infrastructure in a global enterprise.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage enterprise storage, including NetApp filers.
  • Manage a large VMWare ESXi5.5 and later environments with multiple vCenter servers in linked mode.
  • Design, develop, install, configure, administer and maintain highly scalable, available and elastic solutions that implement industry best practices using Public Cloud and “on premises” infrastructure in a hybrid cloud model.
  • Ensure security and automated patching configurations, excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Deploy and support Active Directory in a large enterprise environment with multiple domain controllers spanning globally dispersed locations.
  • Install, configure and support infrastructure services such as DNS, WINS, DHCP.
  • Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Capability to learn and support various technologies, such as: Tomcat, Tibco, Autosys, Documentum, Drupal, etc. which run on Windows & Linux servers in a Hybrid cloud environment.

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or software engineering and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications a plus.
  • 5 Years of VMWare version VMWare ESXi55 and later.
  • 3-5 years of NetApp CDOT 8.3 and later.
  • 5 years of AD 2003 and later.
  • Experience managing enterprise storage, preferably NetApp filers.
  • Experience managing large VMWare ESXi5.5 and later environments with multiple vCenter servers in linked mode
  • Experience deploying and supporting Active Directory in a large enterprise environment with multiple domain controllers spanning globally dispersed locations.
  • Experience installing, configuring and supporting infrastructure services such as DNS, WINS, DHCP.
  • Linux server environments.
  • Infrastructure automation through scripting, such as: PowerShell, Python, etc.
