    Controllers Division Overview:

     

    Controllers ensure that CCI meets all of its necessary financial control and internal and external reporting obligations.  In the Controllers Department, our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with various aspects of the firm’s business.

     

    CCI’s Controllers Group combines technical, accounting and product knowledge to (i) provide collaborative advice, (ii) help analyze financial data and report facts, and (iii) maintain and implement controls which protect the firm’s assets and help sustain its reputation.

     

    Controllers Team:

     

    We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the RIVERVIEW – INGENCO team. This person reports to the Controller, and will liaise closely with operations and accounting personnel at INGENCO as well as with finance organization of CCI.

     

    INGENCO, a subsidiary of RIVERVIEW, is a rapidly-growing pioneer in the landfill gas to electricity generation. It designs, builds and operates independent power and cogeneration plants in the three to fifteen megawatt size range. With nearly 20 sites designed, built, and managed through the mid-Atlantic region, we are also proud to be the largest landfill gas electricity generation portfolio on the East Coast.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and post periodic journal entries including inventory, accruals, and prepaid activity
    • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
    • Review and reconcile balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
    • Review and approve accounting coding of invoices and P-card
    • Identify, investigate, and document, material variances between actual results and the budget
    • Analyze data and financial reports for trends
    • Provide a support service by working with all departments and management to help provide information and make decisions
    • Offer professional judgment on financial matters, accounting policy, and on ways of improving existing, or implementing new, controls and processes
    • Interpret and communicate financial information to non-finance users
    • Be able to work with various systems
    • Assist gather audit support and other adhoc items
    • Identify areas with room for improvement and help to implement changes

    Qualifications

    • 2-4 years’ of accounting experience, combination of Public/Private experience preferred
    • Commercial acumen, commodities experience a plus
    • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
    • Excellent attention to detail, with strong academic background
    • Good communication skills and an energetic team player
    • High proficiency in Microsoft excel
    • SAP user is a plus
    • CPA and/or CMA is a plus
