  • Overview

    Castleton Commodities International is hiring a Senior Credit Analyst for our Stamford office.  As a key member of the global credit function, the Senior Credit Analyst will be focused on North and South American counterparty credit.  The role requires in depth credit analysis of a portfolio of trading counterparts, monitoring daily exposure to ensure that trading activity is in line with established credit limits, working with both internal and external stake holders to support firm-wide initiatives, and contract negotiation.


    • Full credit cycle management of a portfolio of counterparties including: responding to initial commercial credit requests, establishing credit and payment terms, annual review, and negotiating standard trading documentation (ISDA, NAESB, PCGs, Master Netting etc).
    • Daily interaction with front office to provide guidance on credit terms, and exposure/collateral management.
    • Daily interaction with internal stakeholders to assist in documentation review, resolve payment discrepancies, and client onboarding.
    • Daily interaction with external clients as part of the portfolio management process.
    • Monitor and evaluate exposure across various systems.
    • Ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies and procedures.


    • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience managing credit risk in a commodities trading firm or financial institution.
    • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred.
    • Intermediate Excel skills is required; SQL and advanced Excel skills to build reports and retrieve data across various systems is a plus.
    • Ability to quickly and concisely summarize numerical data and communicate effectively
    • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced trading culture
