    Castleton Commodities International (www.cci.com) a leading global commodity merchant with headquarters in Stamford, CT is hiring an experienced International Tax Manager.  This role will be focused on U.S  international planning for a multi-national investment and trading platform.  This role will have significant exposure across the organization including senior leadership and the commercial teams.  This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in Tax at a best in class commodity trading firm.

    Responsibilities

    • Implement and oversee global transfer pricing policies including coordinating strategy, documentation, reporting, calculation and compliance.
    • Research and analyze tax implications of proposed transactions (including diligence and structuring) and make recommendations to leadership.
    • Perform highly complex tax research on various tax issues.  
    • Assist with foreign tax audits, as needed.
    • Communicate complex tax information primarily to non-tax colleagues at all levels within the organization.
    • Work with Global Head of Tax on strategic initiatives and tax planning projects.
    • Coordinate with external counsel/tax advisors, as needed.
    • Work with Treasury Department on cash management and other issues.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree with a law degree (preferred) or Master’s degree in taxation or
    • Certified Public Accountant

     

    Experience/Skills:

    • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience, including with a public accounting, firm law firm and/or a multi-national entity.
    • Prior experience with controlled foreign corporations ( CFCs ) and/or passive foreign investment companies (PFICs) is required
    • Prior Asset Management exposure is preferred
    • Prior experience managing transfer pricing policies is preferred.
    • Ability to plan, execute and compete multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Must be detail-oriented with a very strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
